Puppy Dog Cakes & Tutorials

Dog Cakes by Made by Gayle Cakes and from httpcheioderecheio.blogspot.com.br

Whether it’s for a child or adult dog-lover’s birthday, nothing brings them more joy than to see their little four-legged friend incorporated into their birthday celebration.  There are so many ways to add a doggy theme to a cake, both for beginners and the more advanced.  We have a full list of tutorials below to help you with both simple 3-D model dogs and sculpted dog cakes.

Our beautiful blue and pink feature cake above left is by Made By Gayle. Wrapping a cute little dog collar around the cake is a brilliant extra touch and very easy to create. Plus, we have tutorials for lots of different breeds of dog cake toppers below.

The second cake (above right) is from the Brazilian cake designers, Cheio de Recheio, and is based on an original design by Debbie Brown.  Flour Arrangements have a great tutorial here to help you make your own version yourself. It’s a great cake design for owners of cheeky puppies who come back looking very sheepish after being up to doggy naughtiness!

If it’s a super cute doggy cake design you’re looking for, the two beautiful cakes below will melt your heart! The “Patchwork Puppy” cake (below left) is by the super-talented Shereen’s Cakes & Bakes.  Below right, we have the ultra-cute “Party Puppy” cake by Julia Hardy.

Continuing with cuteness, Wendy’s Taarten have designed a beautiful cake featuring doggy hugs (below left) that young children would simply love.  And below right we have an adorable “sleeping puppy” Cake by Manchester’s Essentially Cakes.

For a simple 2-D birthday cake, Bella Cakes by Andrea (below left) have created a fantastic birthday cake below left. (In fact, the puppy could easily be interchanged with any other 2-D character, depending on the occasion, so it makes a great overall party cake idea.)

For a super quick and simple cake for a dog-lover, you can’t beat the design(below right) for it’s simplicity – chocolate Scottie terriers all around the sides, topped off with a great big bow in the middle. (Image: Pinterest).

The simplest of all dog cakes to make is the Wilton cake design below left (with instructions here.) And we have a gorgeous Dalmation dog cake below right by Sugar Allure  which even incorporates Dalmation spots on the cake!  The red balloon is a lovely extra touch on this party cake.

For an adorable surprise cake for a dog lover, the stunning gift box cakes below cannot be beaten when it comes to cute factor.  The lilac and white striped cake is by the fabulous Little Cherry Cake Company (below right) and the equally stunning cake on the left is from Canada’s, The Cake Whisperer.  We have a tutorial here by The Designer Cake Company for a similar style cake – a Schnauzer puppy in a Tiffany’s gift box!
