A beautiful wedding cake inspired by their wedding gown is every bride’s idea of a dream wedding cake. Designing wedding cakes based on bridal couture is an art form in itself but with practice it is a skill that can be developed.
We have two fabulous examples above – a lace adorned wedding cake in cream and ivory via Martha Stewart Weddings above left, and above right, a wonderfully creative interpretaion of a wedding gown design created through the medium of cake by Fatma Alkuwari.
Zoe Clark of The Cake Parlour, London has a wonderful eye for design based on beautiful wedding gowns, with two terrific cake designs below based on Caroline Castigliano and Clarie Pettibone gowns, left and right respectively.

US designers, Gateaux Inc created this fabulous customed lace wedding cake with a specially cut stencil based on the Chantilly lace adorning the bride’s gown below. This exact stencil is available online from their Evil Cake Genious stencil store.
