When it comes to Christmas baking and cake decorating, Sarah Jones of The Chocolate Strawberry dreams up some of the best and most original christmas cakes designs, with her fabulous seasonal sweater and scarf inspired design below left, and right – the coolest reindeer cake around.<\/p>\n

Japanese “temari” cakes have been popularised by Makiko Searle of Maki’s Cakes and are especially popular as Christmas bauble cakes, with a stunningly piped pastel selection designed by Cotton & Crumbs, below.<\/p>\n

This little fawn cake simply took our breath away when we first laid eyes on it, with a chunky knitwear textured design creating a magical winter frame for a beautifully painted baby deer – a design masterpiece from Martina Bliedung of Floralillie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For a change from seasonal red, why not mix it up a little this year as Alix Fauvel has done with her unique purple design below, topped with a stylish white poinsettia flower and green foliage.<\/p>\n
