We’re all a-flutter this week at Cake Geek<\/em> between feather cakes and now, birdhouse cakes! It’s one of the prettiest cake trends at the moment with two super cute examples above by Sydney’s Cake by Kim<\/a> (left) and via Pinterest (right).<\/p>\n

UK blogger, Torie Jayne has created a tutorial for her pastel pink and blue gingerbread cake design below (made to a gluten-free receipe) which you’ll find here: birdhouse cake tutorial (no longer available).<\/p>\n

Aside from gingerbread, a birdhouse cake can also be carved from a full cake, if you need a larger cake for your party.
