A birdcage wedding cake is one of the most chic vintage cake designs of the moment.\u00a0 Blogger Torie Jayne has posted an excellent\u00a0tutorial on her blog\u00a0on how to make and decorate a vintage birdcage cake (no longer available), and the good news is, it’s much easier than you think! \u00a0Zoe Clark also has instructions for this cake design in her book Cake Decorating at Home<\/a>\"\".<\/p>\n

A vintage bird cage cake makes a wonderful cake, not\u00a0just for weddings, but\u00a0for lots of occasions like birthdays and anniversaries also, as the beautiful examples show above by Peggy Porschen<\/a> (above) and below,\u00a0from Made With Love Cakes<\/a> on the right and via Tumblr on the left.<\/p>\n
