The advent of edible cake lace has brought a whole new level of convenience to wedding cake decorating. While its customization options are limited, its quick and easy application makes it a no-brainer when it comes to commercial cake decorating.

This week we’re taking a look at some of the most elegant edible lace wedding cakes from top cake designers.
Exact tone-on-tone shades of ivory create a seamless blend between cake lace and frosting in this sugar rose and magnolia topped cake trimmed with antique gold sugar pearls by Sugar Couture Cupcakes and Cakes, above left. On the right, an exquisite pairing of lavender and pink makes an exceptionally pretty edible lace wedding cake from Sweet As Sugar Cakes.
One of the most chic wedding colors of the moment – dove grey – paired with an abundance of soft pink roses and adorned with mesh lace makes for a stunning wedding cake by Roses by Moonlight.
Curtis and Co. Cakes never fail to inspire us whenever we take a look through their latest wedding cake designs and this glamorous 1920’s inspired wedding cake is a perfect example with vintage edible lace fabulously customised with extra hand-piped details.
