Pedestal Wedding Cakes

Pedestal wedding cakes exude old world grandeur and are becoming the statement wedding cake this year. The two fabulous examples above in soft pink shades are the beautiful work of designers, Vanessa Iti of Bella Cupcakes, New Zealand (left) and Tracey James of Cotton and Crumbs (right).

Below we have two ultra glamorous pedestal wedding cakes in lustred shades of champagne and pearl by Faye Cahill Cake Design (left) and Cake Face (right),  delicately stencilled lace adding a touch bridal elegance. An antique style pedestal wedding cake is softly accented with elegant white-on-white damask stencilling in the beautiful design below by Sweet Bloom Cakes, Australia with petal ruffles adding a contemporary edge. While a pedestal cake stand showcasing the upper tier makes for a beautiful wedding cake design feature, a pedestal vase with a sugar flower arrangment makes a superbly elegant cake topper.  The two examples below are by Zoe Clark The Cake Parlour (left) and Mignon Daymond of Cake Face (right).

Beautiful hand painted details and blossoms create a multi-dimensional effect on the stunning summer meadow wedding cake below from Cake Face, crowned with a pedestal vase of soft pink peonies.

The masterpiece baroque style wedding cake below was created by The Flour Garden with beautiful gilded gold detailing and verdigris effect.

Sage green and white in a beautiful chinoiserie pattern makes a very striking wedding cake below with extra height added with an intricate pedestal stand (image via Brides.com).

Garrods Wedding Cakes  UK created the extravagant jewelled wedding cake below left complete with an antique style pedestal vase of sugar flowers.  To the right,  is another example of this old world style cake top in a design by US cake star, Marina Sousa of Just Cake.

An exquisite, ornate wedding cake in fabulous shades of lilac and lavender by Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium (below left) and a classically elegant white wedding cake with pedestal vase floral arrangement by Luisa Galuppo Cakes (below right).

Melissa L’Abbe Cake Design created the elegant ivory wedding cake below with fleur de lis motifs and crowned with a pedestal vase floral arrangement.
